John DiDonna - Director Seth Kubersky - Director

Cast and Crew

John Bateman - Ubu Roi is John's first production with Empty Spaces. He was recently seen as Diesel in West Side Story at Theatre Downtown. He was also in their production of Take Me Out as Shane. Recently he performed the role Cliff in the Valencia Character Company production of Cabaret. His previous roles also include Richard Rich in A Man For All Seasons, Rapunzel's Prince in Into The Woods and Freddie in Horror Over Drinks.

Kevin G. Becker received his BA in Music Composition & Percussion from Muhlenberg in Allentown, PA. Studying under Dr. Douglas Ovens and Dr. Ted Conners at Muhlenberg. Dr. John Sinclair and Beth Gotleib at Rollins College. Theatrical compositions include: Oedipus with Empty Spaces, POE at Theatre Downtown, Fe-or- Male at PlayFest 2005, Solo Face and Hidden Mandala at Orlando Fringe Festival. At Touchstone Theatre, Solo Face and Just So Stories at and Twelfth Night at Rollins College .

Bobbie Bell has twice won the Florida Playwright Festival and had over twenty plays produced locally including: Pascua De Flores, Elba Ohio, Of: A Play of Artemis . Directing credits include: his translation/adaptation of Trojan Women, A Delicate Balance, Merchant of Venice, Threepenny Opera, Measure for Measure . Acting roles include: three appearances as Scrooge at Theatre Downtown, George in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Marquis de Sade in Quills. Bobbie has also performed with the Orlando Ballet as Dr. Coppelius in Coppelia and Sancho Panza in Don Quixote. This year he will direct Mother Courage at Seminole Community College and The Caretaker at Mad Cow.

Brett Carson has a simple philosophy when it comes to performing: "If it's not illegal and it pays, I'll do it! And if it is illegal and it pays and it sounds like fun, I'll consider it!" He has appeared as the Lead Percussionist in Empty Spaces' production of Oedipus, and can be seen most Friday nights on the Rivership Romance as the Best Man, Ronald Marangio. He is tickled aquamarine (which he prefers to pink; indicative of his fierce loyalty to the Miami Dolphins) to be part of the Ubu cast.

Joe Comino - Ubu Roi is Joe's first show with Empty Spaces Theatre Company. Recent roles include Fortunato/Dupin/Ensemble in Poe at Theatre Downtown, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet with the Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble and Jenkins in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying at the Orlando Broadway Dinner Theatre.

Anna DeMers received her BA in Theatre from Rollins College. She received Lecoq physical and ensemble training from Touchstone Theatre in Bethlehem, PA. She choreographed Oedipus with Empty Spaces and for other theatrical productions including POE at Theatre Downtown, and Triumph of Love at Rollins College. As a founding member of Terpsichore Collective she has written/produced Fe-or-Male at PlayFest 2005, Solo Face and Hidden Mandala at Orlando Fringe Festival. She is also a member of Soul Play, Orlando's newest modern dance company where her choreography can be seen in May.

Courtney Hess has a BA in Theatre and a BA in Studio Art from FSU as well as a BA in English from FAU. Very proud to be working with the Empty Spaces Theatre Company, she has worked in many artistic capacities including scenic design, directing, stage managing, make-up, etc. Her most recent Orlando credit was make-up and props for Poe at the Theatre Downtown.

Alea Figueroa

Sarah French was very excited to be make her Empty Spaces theatrical debut with Stripped. Previous credits include: Little Sally in Urinetown and Emily Webb in Our Town, both for Mad Cow Theatre, and Nan/Lina in Three Days of Rain for Ice House Theatre. Sarah is a regular performer at Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Show and will be seen next in Climate of Eden for Ice House Theatre.

Josh Geoghagan - With Empty Spaces, Josh has performed in Oedipus The King (Tribal Greek Chorus), Ubu Roi (Ensemble/Queen Rosemund), 365 Days/365 Plays (Ensemble) and in our dance/movement piece Phobias (Ensemble). His other shows and roles include: Antigone (Third Guardsman) with Mad Cow Theatre, Into The Woods (Milky-White) and Romeo & Juliet (Mercutio) with Valencia Community College, The Rocky Horror Show (Phantom) and Poe (Ensemble/Doctor) with Theatre Downtown, Noises Off (Garry/Roger) and 1940s Radio Hour (Wally Fergusson) with Bay Street Theatre, MSG (Mozart) and 7 Second Itch (Burt) with Playwright's Roundtable, Horror Over Drinks (Pinhead), The Orlando Vigilante (Multi-Dude/Ensemble), and Murder on West 18 th (Joe The Detective) for The Orlando International Fringe Festival.

Tammy Goode is very excited to be involved in an other Empty Spaces production and to be sharing the stage with such a creative cast. Some of Tammy favorite roles have been The Rocky Horror Show, Oedipus, Evita, and Buffy in Once More with Feeling.

Sarah Lockard- Ubu Roi is Sarah's third production with Empty Spaces. She was recently seen in Stripped. She is thrilled to be a part of the chaos and to be working with such a talented crew. She recently graduated from UCF and has been involved with several films and theatre productions in the Orlando area. Some of her favorite shows include Oedipus the King, Poe, Christmas Carol, and Tom Jones.

Dorothy Lora

Shani Lucas photographs and designs web sites for local performances in the Orlando area. Her creative photographs and marketing materials were prominent in several performances. Credits include: Oedipus the King and Stripped for The Empty Spaces Theatre Co.; Obscenity the Play for KMK Productions at the Orlando International Fringe Festival; The Good Doctor for Seminole Community College; The Rocky Horror Show, A Christmas Carol, Poe, Grease, Take Me Out at Theatre Downtown and The Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast and Moulin Rouge Shadow Cast for the Rich Weirdoes. Shani was also assistant director for the Moulin Rouge Shadow Cast at Universal CityWalk.

Kimberly Luffman is excited to be working on her first show with Empty Spaces, Ubu Roi. Most recently she appeared as Rainbow in Eric Bogosian's Skunkweed and Cate in The Seven Second Itch. She has performed locally with Playwrights Round Table, Theatre Downtown, Orlando Shakespeare Festival, Orlando Theatre Project and Storybook Theatre. She models with Fantastical Photography, and performs with The Rich Weirdoes in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Magenta), Clue (Yvette), and Reefer Madness (Mary Lane).

Stacey Mackin - This is Stacey's third production working with Empty Spaces, having worked on Oedipus and Stripped. She has been an ASM on Into the Woods, Cabaret, The Rocky Horror Show, Noises Off. She has also has Stage Managed Eleemosynary at this years Fringe Festival. Also, How I Learned to drive, and 99 Cent Dreams with the Valencia Character Company. Stacey has also acted in An Experiment with an Air Pump, Harvey, and numerous one acts.

Dorothy Massey first appeared in Empty Spaces Theatre Company's Oedipus The King. Her second appearance was in Stripped. She has also been seen in Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble's The Fantasticks as The Mute. Dorothy has also been a member of the Rich Weirdoes, the local Rocky Horror Picture Show cast for almost two years now.

Katie Merriman is jazzed to be playing with the masterminds of Empty Spaces again after working in their last project, STRIPPED. Katie just got back from Kansas City, MO where she completed an internship with the KC Starlight Theatre and is in her last year at UCF where she is getting her degree in Broadcast Journalism and Cinema Studies.

Peg O'Keef is a native Floridian. Recent Central Florida performance credits include The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Angels in America, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Three Tall Women, Long Day's Journey into Night, Under Milk Wood, Happy Days, Our Town, A Delicate Balance and The Constant Wife. Locally, Peg has directed numerous productions, including Antigone (twice), Grapes of Wrath, The Piano Lesson, Indians, Le Bete, Orpheus Descending, American Buffalo and Camino Real.

Lauren O'Quinn majored in theater at the University of GA before moving to Orlando in 1997. She currently teaches an Advanced Meisner and Scene Study class for Art's Sake Studio. You may have seen her on stage in such productions as The Vagina Monologues, as Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker , Shelby in Steel Magnolias, or on your TV in various commercials. Her favorite role of all time, though, is that of Mommy to her 2 year old daughter, Hayley!

Sonia Pasqual has been designing lights for over seven years, having designed multiple shows with Valencia Character Company. Some of the shows she has designed over the years include Annie Get Your Gun, Man of LaMancha, Dark of the Moon, Night of January 16th, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, The Wiz to name a few. Dana Robbins - Dana is excited to be working with Empty Spaces again on Ubu Roi. She also stage managed Oedipus: The King, and Stripped for Empty Spaces Theatre Company. She is currently working as the Technical Director for SAK Comedy Lab's production of FourPlay: The Improvised Musical. She is the set designer for Jester Theatre's production on Dracula: The Musical and Technical Director for Boone High School. She has stage managed several shows in the Central Florida area, including Cabaret, Into the Woods, and Bat Boy: The Musical and Suburbia at Valencia Community College and The Rocky Horror Show and Long Day's Journey Into Night, and Poe at Theatre Downtown.

Pam Stone is very excited to be making her theatrical debut with the Empty Spaces Theatre company with Ubu Roi. Her credits include being a moving prop in a couple of high school shows and she recently wrapped her first short film. Pam is currently attending the L.A. Acting Workshop and appeared in their June showcase.

Yzaura Vanegas was happy to be a part of Playfest appearing in Stripped. She had dance training with Ballet Hispanico in NYC and has a strong theatre background. She has worked at Universal Studios and has performed at Theatre Downtown.

Corey Volence- Ubu Roi is Corey's first production with Empty Spaces. His most recent role was playing A-Rab in Theatre Downtown's production of West Side Story. He is a theatre major at Seminole Community College, and some of the shows you may have seen him in there include The Good Doctor (The Narrator), Anything Goes (Billy Crocker), and Hay Fever (Sandy Tyrell). Some of his notable shows he's performed in around Orlando theatre community include Bye Bye Birdie (Conrad Birdie), Les Miserable (Enjolras), Footloose (Reverend Shaw), Urinetown (Caldwell B. Cladwell), and Bang Bang You're Dead (Josh).
