The Hysterical Historical Story of Germany’s least remembered Musicians
and their Epic Battle over who gets his hands on the Master’s Organ!

Welcome to Leipzig, Germany 1722: The city’s famed music director expires over the Thomaskirche organ keyboard, and his former pupils can barely dry their eyes before fighting to replace him. Prepare for knickers and wigs in this outlandish and irreverent adventure to find the next Kappelmeister of Leipzig.

Frozen

A riveting and dramatic exploration of the 20th century's last great taboos of pedophilia and serial killing. The mother of a young girl who went missing 20 years before seeks understanding in a confrontation with her daughter's killer, while a psychologist attempts to prove illness, not evil, caused the man's crimes

Set in a courtroom in a void called “Hope” - located somewhere in the bad part of downtown purgatory, and at a time when it is no longer for contemplation, but for litigation,  Last Days takes us on a journey into the appeals trial of one Judas Iscariot - the infamous “Savior Betrayer” of the gospels.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot is proud to include some of the finest actors working in Central Florida : Dennis Neal, Babette Garber, Peg O'Keef, Stephen Lima, Alexis Jackson, Avis Marie Barnes, Roger Floyd, Lawrence Benjamin, Marty Stonerock, Mark Edward Smith, Jeremy Wood, Trenell Mooring, Joel Warren, , Thomas Young, Sarah Lee Dobbs, Pat Ward, and Valensky Sylvain.  The work is to be directed and designed by John DiDonna, with additional direction by Empty Spaces co-artistic director Seth Kubersky, with original sound design by Kevin G. Becker and costuming by Jennifer Bonner.

Jesus Jumped the A Train
The production features well known Central Florida actor Dennis Neal as Lucius Jenkins, a drug addicted “god fearing man” awaiting extradition and death in Florida for crimes so heinous that they are numbing; Roger Floyd as Angel Cruz, a man who perhaps has done the most loving and heroic thing, in all the wrong ways; Alexis Jackson as Mary Jane Hanrahan, the public defender caught between doing the right thing, or doing the right thing; Lawrence Benjamin as D’Amico, a former prison guard who is guilty of one thing – liking Lucius Jenkins: and Jeremy Wood as Valdez, a guard best described as “Man ain’t nothing but a test of faith”.

BENT

“It's O.K.  I won't drop you.  I'll hold you.  If I stand at attention I can hold you. They'll let me hold you. I never held you before. You're safe.”

“We are hidden behind masks that cover up our deepest insecurities, fears and emotions.”

Fear.  Phobias.  Anxiety.

It intrigues us.  We hide it and try not to discuss it past childhood.

Each day we are taught to block out or cover up our feelings, repressing that part of our very selves.

PHOBIAS is a movement theatre performance exploring how fear manifests itself in the body.

Do we Retreat? Collapse? Hide? Expand? Excite? Freeze?

Empty Spaces Theatre Company was proud to present Week 28 of the national Suzan-Lori Parks project 365 Days/365 Plays during the week of May 21 - 27th, 2007 at the Orlando International Fringe Festival.

MERDRE! The Empty Spaces Theatre Co presents its newly translated/newly adapted version of Jarry's insanely chaotic and historically groundbreaking UBU ROI.

Premiering in 1896 to riots and huge public outcry in Paris, UBU has entertained and amusingly dismayed audiences for the last century and is credited as the progenitor of the great theatre -isms that came after, Symbolism, Absurdism - and if there was such a word - Ridiculous-ism!

An outright laugh riot which explores power, politics, greed, envy and manipulation! Ubu Roi

Oedipus the King

Oedipus the King has proven the test of time, remaining vital, visceral, and compelling over 2,000 years after its premier.

Laying the foundation for this new and exciting production is an energetic and freely adapted version of the original written by Sophocles (496 BC - 406/5 BC) This tribal/ritual version has been adapted to the stage...
